Santorini Airport to Kamari Transfer: €15–40, the Beach Resort Route

Kamari sits on the southeastern coast, about 5.5–6 km from the airport — close enough that this is one of the quicker transfers on the island, 10–15 minutes by taxi or private car. A Different Kind of Destination

Kamari is genuinely a different kind of stop than Oia or Fira — it's the island's main beach resort town, known for its black sand beach, a long promenade of restaurants and bars, an open-air summer cinema, and easy access to the Ancient Thera archaeological site on the cliff above town. If your trip is built around beach days rather than caldera sunsets, this is likely where you're headed — and it's also noticeably cheaper to eat and drink here than in Fira or Oia.

Same structural pattern as everywhere else on this island — there's no direct bus from the airport to Kamari. You'll go via Fira first, adding a change and pushing total journey time to roughly 30–45 minutes, versus the direct 10–15 minute drive. Priced between the bus and a private transfer, roughly €10–15 per person, 15–20 minutes with a handful of other hotel stops along the way. A reasonable option if you're travelling solo or as a couple and want a direct drop-off without paying full private transfer rates.

Combining With Perissa

Kamari and Perissa are often mentioned together — both black sand beach towns on the same southeastern coast, separated by Mesa Vouno, the mountain that Ancient Thera sits on top of. If you're deciding between the two or want to visit both, a private transfer can route you past one on the way to the other far more easily than the bus system, which treats them as separate routes requiring their own connections.
